1 . Lifestyle for the immigrants was hard, long and dangerous. They had to fully re-establish themselves with little to no money and survive by simply farming and building their own shelter. The injury experienced by Lindberghs grandfather shows that he was a determined man to provide to get his friends and family, as well as resistant by clinging to life using a severed arm. 3. Charles became interested in machines when his daddy brought home Maria. Charles became fascinating while using engine learning its eccentricities. The automobile provided them a freedom that they had hardly ever dreamed of ahead of. They also experienced all types of weathers and road conditions. 1 .
